Twitter for business just got a whole lot more interesting!

News about Twitter nowadays mostly consists of updates on their lawsuit against Elon Musk. The developers, however, aren’t standing still and new updates keep being released every single month. Last month was an absolute winner for Twitter marketing with 2 significant updates rolling out! Let’s take a look!

First off, business tools! According to multiple sources, Twitter is building valuable tools for businesses, making it easier for people to market their products and services! The features are going to be presented under the name “spotlight”. The spotlight will enable users to highlight newsletters, locations, planners, and other cool features on their profiles.

This allows businesses even more to create a hub for all sorts of information on a brand. Enjoying content, finding out business details and planning meetings - Twitter can do them all soon!

The feature is said to be released soon, but there is no indication as to when this is happening. Let’s hope it comes around quickly!

The second feature might not sound as exciting, but it might even be more impactful than the last one!

Google has recently started experimenting with putting tweets relevant as search hits in their search engine! This implementation is a massive blow to classic SEOs but is a gigantic win for brands looking to market their brand on Twitter.

Allowing tweets to be found in search engines is a massive win, especially for small brands. This allows brands to focus more on creating quality content for their Twitter rather than paying thousands of dollars to experts to optimize their SEOs on their websites! Does this come with a downside? Well, it depends.

Getting search-engine front-page hits sounds fantastic, but in reality, it requires a lot of effort. The most viral tweets will end up on the front page. Going viral is not easy, and really does feel like a dice roll sometimes. The Twitter algorithm might be one of the most difficult ones to understand, so if you’re looking to hit that front page, it’s best to be prepared to tweet consistently and with high quality.

For marketing teams, the updates mentioned above are big business, even if the casual user might not see them! We will keep you posted on any further updates, so make sure to follow our socials to never miss a new blog!
